Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 17, 2026
The short version
- Getting Quiet is lived experience and general education. It is not medical advice.
- What you buy is for you. Please don’t share it, resell it, or post it online.
- Digital products are delivered right away, so sales are final.
- Be kind in the comments and in the library.
That’s the gist. The sections below are the actual agreement.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Getting Quiet is a brand of Coviah LLC (“Getting Quiet,” “we,” “us”). These terms cover gettingquiet.com and go.gettingquiet.com, the customer library, our newsletter Low Volume, our blog The Quiet Part, our podcast, and anything you buy from us. Together we call these the “Services.”
By using the Services or buying from us, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
2. This is not medical advice
We share lived experience, general education, and practical tools for life on a GLP-1. We are not your doctor, pharmacist, dietitian, or therapist. Nothing in the Services is medical, nutritional, or mental-health advice, and nothing here creates a provider and patient relationship.
Don’t start, stop, or change a medication, a dose, or an eating plan because of something you read, heard, or cooked here. Those decisions belong to you and your qualified care team. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
3. Recipes and nutrition information
Recipes, portion sizes, and nutrition figures are estimates for general information. Ingredients and brands vary, and so do appetites and bodies. Check labels for allergens, follow safe food handling, and adapt anything here to your own needs and your care team’s guidance.
We don’t promise any particular result from using the Services, including any health, weight, or lifestyle outcome.
4. Who can use the Services
The Services are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to buy from us, create an account, or sign up for our emails.
5. Your account and the customer library
Some purchases include access to an online library. Your sign-in is for you alone. Keep it private, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
6. Buying from us
Prices are in U.S. dollars and are shown before you pay. Any taxes that apply are added at checkout. We can change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already placed.
Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if there is a pricing mistake or we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund it.
Promo codes have no cash value, can’t be combined unless we say so, and may expire or be withdrawn.
7. Digital delivery
Our products are digital. After you buy, we email the address you gave at checkout with access to your library, your download, or both. Delivery is complete when that access is made available to you.
If nothing arrives within an hour, check your spam or promotions folder, then write to support@gettingquiet.com and we will sort it out.
8. Refunds
All sales of digital products are final. Our Refund Policy explains this, along with the few situations where we will fix or refund an order.
9. What you may do with what you buy
When you buy a digital product, we give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use it for your own non-commercial purposes. You may download it to your own devices and print pages for your own kitchen.
You may not:
- share your files or your library sign-in with other people;
- resell, rent, or give away our products, or post them anywhere online;
- use our content to build a competing product, or to train or feed an AI system;
- remove our name, logo, or copyright notices.
10. Our content and our name
Everything in the Services, including the writing, recipes, photographs, designs, audio, and the names and logos Getting Quiet, Low Volume, The Quiet Part and The Tiny Appetite Kitchen, belongs to Coviah LLC or the people who license it to us. It is protected by copyright and trademark law.
You’re welcome to quote a short passage with credit and a link back. For anything more, ask first at support@gettingquiet.com.
11. What you send us
You own what you write. When you post a comment on the site, you give us permission to display it there. If you send us a story or a message privately, we won’t publish it with your name unless you say yes first.
Please don’t send us anything confidential or anything that isn’t yours to share. If you send ideas or feedback about the Services, we may use them without owing you anything. What you post must follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
12. Emails from us
If you sign up for Low Volume or buy from us, we will email you. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and it works. We will still send messages about an order, such as receipts and access details.
13. Other sites, products and platforms
We link to other websites and mention products we didn’t make. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them. If a link is an affiliate link, meaning we may earn a commission when you buy, we say so.
Some of our work is offered through other companies, such as Amazon, podcast apps, Instagram and Facebook. Their terms apply to what you do there.
14. No warranties
We work hard to make the Services accurate and useful, but we provide them “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
15. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Coviah LLC and its owners, team and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Services.
Our total liability for any claim about the Services is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$100. Some places don’t allow these limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law permits.
16. If your actions cause a claim against us
If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or misused the Services, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, including reasonable legal fees.
17. Suspending or ending access
We may suspend or end your access to the Services, including the library, if you break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. If that happens, your license to our products ends. You can stop using the Services at any time.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the site. Using the Services after an update means you accept the new terms.
19. Disagreements and governing law
If you have a problem with us, please write to support@gettingquiet.com first. Most things can be sorted out with a conversation, and we will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and by applicable U.S. federal law. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.
20. The fine print about the fine print
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given it up. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. We may transfer this agreement as part of a sale or reorganization of the business. You may not transfer it.
